And the Winner is….

400 people packed into El Mocambo on a hot summer night to witness history.  One of, Streetlight Light, Everything That's Fly, Oriana and The Automatic City will walk away with a $10,000 music video produced by Landed Entertainments.

The night opened up with a bang, with Anonymous D hyping up the crowd with his is eclectic set and it did not slow down there.  Amongst all their fans and representatives of various magazines and newspapers across Toronto, the four finalists gave it their all with the most exciting and thunderous sets that the Film Jam has never seen.

However, at 1:30 in the morning Oriana prevailed winning the grand prize and making history at the Film Jam. 

The music video goes into production immediately, so check back often for updates, sneak peaks and the announcement for the premiere!

Rolling Stones…Jimi Hendrix…Film Jam.

What do they have in common? They’re all legends of the El Mocambo. On Friday, July 25th, 2008, The El Mocambo will once again be witness to history, with one band walking away with a $10,000 music video, as the winner of the Battle of the Jams.

Over the prior two Film Jams, Street Lightlight, Oriana, Everything That’s Fly and The Automatic City have prevailed over their competition to bring them to the finals. They will each be bringing their most exciting sets to this show which that is setting up to be the biggest Jam ever thrown.

As always there will be short films, video games, popcorn and half of the drink sales go directly to Serving Charity.
