: Film Jam 2
A Success.

Over 200 people packed into the El Mocambo in downtown Toronto on a warm
Sunday evening and witnessed one the best showcases of local diversity and talent. Artists
packed the front hall with awe inspiring designs. Films made people laugh and
especially think. Bands blew the roof off and DJ's spun hot fire all night
long. The Film Jam also generated donations of canned goods for the Poorest
of the Poor Foundation and the El Mocambo donated half of the revenue from
the night as well.
The Film Jam stayed true to its style and showcased a diverse range of talent,
all independent acts from across Toronto. Even though Hip Hop DJ's shared
the stage with Rock bands and horror movies were screened next to social commentaries,
one thing remained constant, everyone had a great time. People from all different
backgrounds networked in a single venue to see what's really brewing in Toronto
and more importantly, celebrated art in all it's facets.
We would like to personally thank everyone, all the bands, DJ's, filmmakers and
artists for making this event a huge success.
We would also like to give a special thank you to the El Mocambo for hosting
us, without all your support, we could not have made this possible.

July 31, 2006 : The
Film Jam is nearing.
